Introduction about the Founder/CEO

Abhay Deeip is an entrepreneur, business strategist, and technologist. His expertise includes product management, sales, and service teams. With more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and insurance industry, he is spearheading truetab by creating innovative solutions for local pharmacies and the healthcare ecosystem. He comes from a rooted and close-knit family – a family that lives together and grows together. It is this mantra that Abhay brings to business and builds a team that works together and grows together.

Amarpreet Singh Modi – CMO

Amar is a Storyteller and a Brand Builder who has years of experience in Brand Building & Marketing. He has worked as a strategist in leading advertising companies in the world and has helped build brands in the domestic and international markets. He aims to build the brand ‘truetab’

Amit Deep – CTO, Co-founder

Amit is a jack-of-all-trades with a multitude of experience across industries. His entrepreneurship journey is backed by decades of expertise in technology leadership and ecosystem development. His aim is to develop advanced AI solutions for truetab.

Tapendra N Senapati – COO, Co-founder

Tapendra has a strong prominence in entrepreneurship and years of experience in IT. His winning traits, sincerity and suppleness, when complemented with his decades of expertise bring out a technological solution utilized to empower local pharmacies.

Ayaskanta Mohanty – CSO, Co-founder

Ayaskanta has more than 20 years of expertise in the field of Sales & Finances. Additionally, with more than 12 years of the entrepreneurial journey and profound knowledge of leadership and brand building, he envisions scalability and success of truetab.

truetab is India’s first technology and service platform that empowers local pharmacies & healthcare service providers with tech and on-demand services. The platform takes a local pharmacy from offline to online & empowers it with the technology and on-demand services to stay relevant in today’s everchanging environment. These technology and on-demand initiatives are designed to help local pharmacies grow their business and win customers for life.

truetab is headquartered out of Mumbai & started in Dec 2021. It is currently operating out of Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

How did you get the idea or concept for the start-up?

truetab was born out of a personal experience. This was during the Covid 19 lockdown when Abhay and Tapendra – a second generation pharmacy owner were discussing about the challenges faced by healthcare service providers and local pharmacies. How online pharmacies were pursuing people in the name of discounts and same day deliveries but were unable to meet their promise. And on the other hand how local pharmacies had put their lives at risk and serving people. But, these local heroes were under constant pressure and threat by the online players. They are almost forced to offer huge discounts and promotions to retain their existing customers. These local pharmacies are looking for a smart, new-age solution to compete with the online players. ‘What if local pharmacies had their own online store (app & a website) and access to on-demand services like deliveries, marketing etc?’ this question lead to the inception of an idea called ‘truetab’. They decided to validate this with the local pharmacies and test the waters. They collaborated with Amit, Amar, and Ayaskanta and started their journey.

What is innovation or unique about your start-up or business?

We are not a marketplace or just a software. truetab is India’s first & only tech and service platform for local pharmacies. We empower a local pharmacy to grow its business using our technology and on-demand services. We do this by helping it to launch its own online app and website. A local pharmacy can do by this by retaining its own identity (white labeled app website) and creating a winning customer experience through our on-demand services like logistics, marketing and KPO services. We are the only platform in the country that supports a local pharmacy with KPO services – imagine if you were a local pharmacy and a call centre of your own. You could solve customer queries, guide them with their prescription, digitize it, and mind them to take their pills on time.

Apart from these services we also help local pharmacies add new revenue streams by empowering them with Doc consultation, lab tests and other Value added services.

What was your mission and vision at the outset?

We are on a mission to revolutionize the unorganized local pharmacies ecosystem in India by supporting them with:

What is the current problem in your sector and how your company provides solutions?

After conducting research amongst local pharmacies across India we were able to conclude that every local pharmacy is struggling to fight the discounts & offers battle with networked and online pharmacies. While local pharmacies want to launch their own online stores, improve/introduce home delivery services, execute online marketing and build customer loyalty – most of them don’t have the time or expertise to do so. truetab is solving this problem by empowering a local pharmacy to grow its business using our technology and on demand services. We do this by helping it to create its own online app and website. A local pharmacy can do this by retaining its own identity (white labelled app website) and creating a winning customer experience through our on-demand tech services like – logistics, marketing and KPO services.
