Hi, can you give a brief about yourself?

Hi , My name is Komal Mittal , i am a software engineer by qualification and a vivid entrepreneur by heart. Being a business woman has been my dream when i was a 7 yr old and now my dream is becoming true.

What are the factors which influenced you to start the Kacy world?

There are two clear factors influencing me to start my venture, First one is my dream to become a successful woman and doing a non conservative thing and the second one would be the conservative thinking of the society which i live in. They drove me crazy to do nothing but prove them wrong that women can do much more than just being a house wife.

How did your journey start towards your dream?

The journey started when i decided to quit my campus placement job after my graduation , a job for which i did compete with thousands of students . That was the time when i told myself that this is it and rest is history.

As I have interviewed many people in these 3 to 4 months as of my experience initial journey to setup startup is not so easy? What is your opinion on it?

In my opinion , i would disagree on this , I think the initial journey is always kind of like going with the flow , you are new to everything, you are learning new stuff, you are not that tough to yourself but later on when the time passes the pressure starts increasing and everything becomes much more stressful . This is the case with both successful and failed startups.

What are the biggest misconception people have about you? Why do they have that? What’s the reality?

I am not sure if people have any misconception about me , because we are quite new in the market.

In general i would say , people always have a misconception about women, that they can not be big in business which i would like to change myself.

I don’t feel speaking of it will be a good idea . i will show the reality to the world .

How you funded your startup?

I am running my startup in a bootstrapped fashion with the help of my other businesses .

About your company? Why people should opt your startup?

Kacyworld is an ecommerce website which deals in women’s fashion jewellery and accessories along with that we offer a highly informative blog called KacyBlog where we aim to bring a group of women together to educate each other .

We do not just sell jewellery and never look back .if you are looking for a high class customer service along with a wide variety of designs , you must opt in for Kacyworld.

Is the startup growing at good phase according to your plans? What are the upcoming plans from your end?

Yes our startup is growing at a good phase with respect to the amount of time and money we are investing in it. We are now selling a good number of products ecveryday on all the big giants like Flipkart , amazon with our brand Kacy along with our website itself.

We are planning to step into the world of clothing in near future , along with a big boost to our blog by launching a community app for women only.

I think everyone has some inspiring person in their life and some taglines? who are they what are their role in your startup life?

Yes i have always looked up to Ms. Indra Nooyi, when i was young , my father told me about her and that fascinated me a lot more than fairy tales.

I am not sure about their taglines but to sum up my journey , there is this one thing which i have always believed in and that is I can make anything happen. Keep trying until it happens.

What your stack on the competition? who are your competitors? How you are overcoming them?

I know it may sound cliche but i am my biggest competition , whenever i don’t feel that i stepped one step up than yesterday , my day becomes terrible .

The other people in market , i will call them my peers, i always keep an eye on my peers and try to learn from their success and failures both.

I think i am developing each day more and more and that is how i have already overcome some people and will overcome some others soon.

How hard is it to have a work-life balance as a startup founder and how do you manages it?

I think this is one of the most crucial parts of working as a startup Founder for most people but i have managed it quite well and happy about it.

I believe when you are really passionate about what you do , sundays don’t really matter to you. Whenever i feel a little unmotivated , i start listening to podcasts from the people of my niche and within a minute , I am excited again to work even harder.

What is your opinion on Startupsindia.in? Any Suggestions?

I think , Startupsindia is a great platform to look what people are doing and get inspired from them and for people like me , it is always  overwhelming to share our experiences with our younger generations.

Just keep doing what you are doing with all your heart and soul. Time will come when you will be on the top.

Last but not leastt as you are woman entrepreneur I am asking this question. Why many women are not in to business or entrepreneurship?

The answer is quite simple , conservative thinking of people in our society which always look forward to a woman to be a good housewife or they are just meant for a day job, But recently i have been seeing that things are changing , there are many women stepping into the world of business .

To young india , i would like to say , Step up and do something big . If you don’t know what to do and you feel you are good for nothing , then you are wrong , you haven’t tried enough things yet.
