Swachch Bharat Grand Challenge by startupsindia for Sanitation, Air, water& waste management startups.

StartupIndia is the country government initiative to encourage the startups in India to develop and to create employment opportunities. StartupIndia started “Swachch Bharat Grand Challenge”; this challenge for the startups who are working to solve the problems in the following areas like Sanitation, Waste management, Water and Wastewater management, Air management.

Sanitation: To provide solutions for sanitation problems in rural and urban areas.

Waste management: Startups need to provide solutions for the waste management chain system it may be the collection, disposal, processing, and recycling.

Water and Wastewater management: Startups which are mainly focusing on water management and solutions for wastewater management by making the wastewater usable.

Air management: The startups which are mainly into decreasing the air pollution, and air purifiers.

This program is organized and observed by Invest India, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) and Swachh Bharat Mission. The challenge is only for mentioned sectors on the above. The application for the challenge will close on November 10th, and the results will be declared on November 15th, 2018.

StartupIndia announced on August 15th, 2015 by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi but started in 2016. It is to support the startups to develop the country economy and increase employment opportunities in the country. The selection panel of startupIndia will choose 2 best innovative solutions from each sector based on the novelty of their solutions, scalability and impact potential, and the prize money will be 2 lakhs.
