Salesforce Makes a deal of $27.7B for Slack acquisition.

Salesforce and Slack have joined forces to create the Slack-First Customer 360
Now it’s easier than ever to connect customers, employees, and partners with the conversations, apps, and data that power digital workflows for an all-new way to work.

Slack will continue to operate under the Slack brand, driving forward a continued focus on its mission, customers, and community. Slack will continue to be led by CEO and Co-Founder Stewart Butterfield.

Slack had 169,000 paid customers as of the end of April 2021 and generated $273.4 million in revenue in the three months ended April 30, 2021. The company has 2,597 employees.

Salesforce stock was up a modest .85 percent to $242.16 early Wednesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, August 17, 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. BST, Salesforce President and COO Bret Taylor and Slack CEO and Co-Founder Stewart Butterfield will host an event to share more about how the two companies are creating a powerful platform for the digital-first, work anywhere the world.
