EdTech platform Eruditus raises $650million from SoftBank, Accel, and others. It said nearly $450 million was led by SoftBank and Accel making their valuation quadruple to $3.2 billion after $650million fundraisers in its series E round of funding. It is the fourth EdTech to become unicorn followed By BYJUs, UnAcademy, and upGrad.
Eruditus’ mission is to increase access to world-class executive education to executives from every part of the world. In fulfilling this mission, Eruditus has partnered with more than 30 universities to date, including MIT, Columbia, Harvard, Cambridge, INSEAD, Wharton, UCBerkeley, INCAE, IIT, IIM, NUS, and HKUST, launching more than 100 courses and serving students from more than 80 countries. Many courses are offered and facilitated in multiple languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin.
“We are fortunate to have the backing of investors who hold a long-term view and will help us grow 10 times over the next three years. We will use the funding to also make inorganic bets in newer areas of learning and to go deep in our existing geographies,” ChaitanyaKalipatnapu, co-founder and executive director of Eruditus, said in an interview.
Eruditus was founded in 2010 and is based in Singapore with offices in six countries,650+ employees, and more than 50,000 student enrolments.
