ACHARYA 3.0 – Faculty Development Programme on Entrepreneurship

The Atal Incubation Centre – Sri Krishnadevaraya University (AIC-SKU) organised a two month ACHARYA 3.0 – Faculty Development Program on Entrepreneurship is an intensive training programme organised from 18th April to 04th June 2022 to the academic partners of AIC-SKU to foster innovation eco-system in their colleges by mapping various internal and external resources

Faculty members of academic partners participated in this training programme. There are total 5 engineering colleges participated in this training program. Participants of ACHARYA 3.0 programme from the academic partners of AIC-SKU have actively participated in the programme and designed, developed Incubator Model Canvas (IMC) which is a frame work to establish a vibrant innovation and startup eco-system their respective colleges with the support of AIC-SKU team and mentors.

Incubator Model Canvas is the frame work that provides brief plan of action to establish an Incubation centre in the institute based on the resources, opportunities, challenges, sectors, budget etc. of the institution and also provides how an institute can leverage the local bodies strengths, resources etc… to develop the start-up eco-system culture in the region.

Participants from respective colleges has presented the IMC to the Jury constituted with Eco-system Experts and Director – AIC SKU. Reviews, comments and inputs from the jury have been recorded by the college faculty to establish the startup eco-system in their campuses. AIC-SKU has given certificates to the colleges and participants of the programme.

Here are the most important points listed from the frame work to establish and promote start-up ecosystem at institutional level, Techniques to improve the quality & quantity of the start-ups. Critical points to organize frequent Brainstorming sessions with faculty and students to generate commercially viable ideas, Support and guidance in Prototype -> Product -> Start-ups, Good networking leads to Investment/Seed fund/Grants Guidance in customization of Start-up & Innovation policy and its implementation in the respective institutions, Resource mapping between colleges, research centres, prototyping labs,

Frame work in organizing awareness programmes and specific boot camps/workshops/challenges to promote innovations and start-ups, IPR training and hands-on filing. Technically, and various disciplines on topics & strategies in problem identification, feasibility studies for business thinking, and business model evaluation.

The training was imparted by Dr. C. Chandra Mouli, Incubation Manger and S. Shaheena, Entrepreneur in Residence at AIC-SKU.
