Taskmo: Helping millions of people in upskilling and finding flexible gig tasks

The pandemic has changed the way we live, think and go about our daily life. Many people elected to seek out opportunities that allow them to earn decent wages, while also having the ability to lead a fulfilling life. The COVID has made us rethink our way of work and living. With most offices reopening or opting for a hybrid work model, employees who loved the work from home (WFH) model are finding it difficult to go back to pre-pandemic routines. They have to choose between relocating to their workplace or finding newer job opportunities. Studies have shown that ‘the great resignation’ drive has been one of the most viral work trends in recent times. As the saying goes, “As one door closes, another opens”, this trend of resignation has opened more opportunities for the gig workers.

Gig jobs are the latest trend because of the autonomy in the job role, preferable work hours, no age limitation or bias, and flexible payment solutions are a few reasons for job seekers to prefer the gig economy. The entire scenario of gig economy has also honed opportunities for reskilling and upskilling the workers dynamically. Without a fixed job hour, it is easier for the gig workforce to pursue their own dream and target. As automation redefines the way to work, the gig workforce is expected to provide the workforce supply seamlessly. However, the certified quality work force available in the gig labour economy is still under-utilised in many areas because of labour laws in the country.
