Paytm Launches First Pocket Android POS Device For Contactless

The pandemic has forced businesses all over the world to opt for contactless ordering and transaction to control the spread of coronavirus. To facilitate that Paytm is taking new and improved measures to provide support to the SMEs as well as the customers.

Recently, the Alibaba backed Indian startup has launched its first pocked POS device. The device is made to cut the hassles of Small businesses and provide them with a more reliable source for contactless payment mode.

The company has introduced ‘Paytm All-in-One Portable Android Smart POS’ and the initial rate of the product at its introductory price is said to be only Rs. 499.

This is the first-ever initiative taken by any startup of India for facilitating contactless transactions for small businesses. The device is said to be pocket-sized like a mobile phone. The device is also more powerful than the one presently available in the country which is Linux based POS device.

Paytm is trying new and improved methods for making the experience of customers hassle-free and more convenient. The ‘Scan to order’ feature provided by Paytm also helped restaurants and businesses to allow contactless payment and now the recently added UPI option makes the process faster.

In order to generate GST compliant bills and manage transaction settlements, the device has been integrated with the ‘Paytm for Business’ app. “It is our endeavor to help merchants & traders to easily digitize their business operations, without any investment in technology or backend infrastructure,” said Renu Satti, Sr. Vice President, Paytm.
