Infosys To Hire 35,000 Graduates From Campuses In FY22

Infosys said it has organized several employee engagement initiatives including career acceleration opportunities and has announced to hire 35,000 college graduates this financial year.

“As the demand for digital talent explodes, rising attrition in the industry poses a near-term challenge. We plan to meet this demand by expanding our hiring program of college graduates for FY 22 to 35,000 globally,” said Pravin Rao, chief operating officer, Infosys.

Infosys is a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting. enabling clients in more than 50 countries to navigate their digital transformation With 260K+ employees. The number is up from the 26,000 the company initially shared during the quarter ending March 2021 at the back of increasing demand. The company’s attrition rate stood at 13.9 percent in the quarter.

“Employee wellbeing is of paramount importance to us and we have had multiple interventions in this regard including facilitating vaccination for them and their dependents. We rolled out several intense employee engagement initiatives including career acceleration opportunities, compensation reviews, and learning & development interventions.,” said Rao. “Our clients continue to be supportive of the multiple initiatives we have undertaken; they value the delivery commitments we have met even during these extraordinary times”, he added.

The company recently reported a 22.7% jump in quarterly profit with consolidated net profit rising to Rs 5,195 crore in the three months to June 30, from a year earlier, while revenue from operations climbed 17.9% to Rs 27,896 crore.
