Hyderabad based startup E-trio manufacture of EV cars got the ratification from ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India). It is the country’s first startup/company which got approved apex industry body. The startup got permission to modify petrol/diesel into retrofitted cars (Maruti Suzuki Alto and Wagon R).
ARAI is the Pune based organization which started in the year 1966. It is a research-based organization of the automotive industry which comes under Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Govt. of India. It is good at various domains like technical expertise in R & D, testing, certification, homologation, and framing of vehicle regulations.
Sathya Yalamanchili is the founder & CEO of the startup E-trio. This startup is bringing the retrofitted technology to India. The retrofitted cars are like the old engines like petrol/diesel will be replaced with electric and motor batteries. Initially, the startup is converting Maruti Suzuki Alto and Wagon R. Many companies, are planning for electric vehicles but this, startup successfully got the permission.
These electric vehicles can travel 150km if once charged. There are many advantages of using the EV there is no need of using the gear system, low maintenance than petrol/diesel cars, less noise, and in any place & any time we can charge the car.
The startup is planning to enter the market with 1000 cars per month, by next year it may reach 5000 cars every month. It is in discussion with some of the Japanse companies to make faster moving EV. The founder main motto is to make country pollution free.
