Wobot Raises $2.5 million in pre-Series A from Sequoia India

As the title suggests, the AI-powered video analytics program, Wobot Intelligence has raised a huge investment recently, and to be curated it has raised $2.5 million in pre-series A from Sequoia India.

Wobot Intelligence is a tool to assist the video capturing devices such as CCTVs and helps them monitor the process compliance and also detect and track for some anomalies. It is also very customer oriented and focuses on offering SOPs including the aspects such as hygiene, productivity, safety, and customer experience.

The idea was founded by Adit Chhabra, Tapan Dixit, and Tanay Dixit. The company says that the funds they received will be used in enhancing their global position, and with the help of this capital, they will be able to strengthen its proprietary technology platform.

The funds will also be used in expanding their sales and marketing efforts for a better approach of their tool.

“Wobot’s vision has always been to create a transparent and seamless workplace with 100 percent process compliance where the camera acts as a third eye and provides continuous feedback for employees on the job. This does not necessarily mean only pointing out violations but also giving a pat on the back for following the right SOPs and adhering to compliances,” said Adit Chhabra, co-founder, and CEO of Wobot.

“Pre-Covid-19, hygiene and safety of the workforce was a good-to-have now, it is a must-have and companies are appreciating the importance of automation. For any future business continuity plans, video analytics will play a huge role and Wobot is well-positioned to take advantage of this opportunity,” added Chhabra.
