Tata Motors Introduces Fleet Edge Solutions For Commercial Vehicles

Fleet Edge, a solution introduced by Tata Motors for enabling better fleet management of commercial vehicles has the potential to prove itself revolutionary in the automobile industry. This is not the first time Tata Motors has come to the rescue with its revolutionary ideas, the company has been providing us with its telematics solutions since 2012.

With the help of its solutions, today two lakh Tata Motors are able to be on-road including both medium and heavy ones.

According to Tata Motors, the Fleet Edge solution will be helping everybody with its data generation in large amounts which will be done through the telematics control unit, shortly known as TCU and will be rendering some real-time insights for fuel efficiency, fuel loss alert, track, and trace, driving behavior, vehicle health, etc.

In a statement, the company said, “These insights will be available to customers through a user-friendly interface on the Tata Motors Fleet Edge portal and help customers manage their fleet even more efficiently. Fleet edge is also accessible on smartphones, via an app, on a real-time basis.”

The President of Commercial vehicle business unit at Tata Motors, Girish Wagh said that the need for digitization and being technology friendly is increasing rapidly and it has also proved to be transforming the connectivity solutions rapidly, not just for the good transportation but for the passenger too.

In light of that, Fleet Edge will be setting a new benchmark as it will be providing the customers with more control and power over fleet and operations, remotely.
