Your skin needs to be loved as much as you and keeping this in mind, Sanfe was founded by Harry Shehrawat and Archit Agarwal, two engineering students from IIT Delhi. Founded in 2018 with its headquarters in New Delhi, Sanfe is a body-care centred brand, based on science, where all its products are poured with natural ingredients and made while keeping in mind the public needs and demands.

The Idea behind Sanfe

It all began when the founders were in their third year of engineering and came across a bathmate who had abdominal pain and cramps because of menstruation on the exam day. She couldn’t disclose her discomfort to anyone and wasn’t even able to find any remedy.

It was there and then that the duo started researching the stigmas around women’s menstruation and available menstrual hygiene products. After knowing the sector that caters to women’s needs, they developed products specific to the cause.

Mission, Vision, & Uniqueness Behind Sanfe

To bridge the gap in the wellness market, Sanfe offers solutions to the problems relating to menstrual hygiene, intimate skincare products like intimate washes and scrubs, toilet seat covers, stand and pee cups, face razors, etc.

Sanfe aims to become the leading choice for women in the market for intimate hygiene and skincare brands. It was created for women to learn to take care of their bodies better way, in a safe space while prioritizing their intimate health.

Sanfe caters to women from all age groups, covering the entire life cycle of a woman, from growing women, menstruating women, to pregnant women and even those who have reached menopause.

Range of Products and Services Offered

Sanfe offers a wide range of topical intimate skincare products including intimate washes, scrubs, period care products like reusable menstrual cups, feminine cramps roll-on, daily hygiene and body grooming products from face and body razors to hair removal creams, gels and strips. It has even tried hands-on the beauty segment with Sanfe Beauty which offers hair and skin care solutions with products like face sunscreens, face washes, micellar water, moisturizers, hair frizz control serums, dandruff control serums and more.

Problems Faced and Solutions Offered

A large segment of the market doesn’t serve the basic women’s needs due to a lack of capital funding or general disinterest around essential women’s products due to decade-long stigmatizations. Sanfe focuses on breaking those stigmas and taboos, giving a voice to women about their problems and offering affordable solutions in the market, for basic daily and intimate hygiene products.

Success, Achievements, and Milestones 

Sanfe has successfully manufactured and delivered products to more than ten million women across the country while making names alongside already existing women’s brands. Recently, Radhika Apte became Sanfe’s brand ambassador. The company has expanded by launching a range of beauty products alongside its menstrual and intimate hygiene products. Besides, the grooming range has become the best seller across all digital platforms. In the pre-series A round, the company received Rs.8 crores, following which it successfully raised $1 million in Series A round. Achieving the fastest revenue growth with a current annual revenue run rate of 50 crores, the brand aims to increase to 120 crores by the end of 2022.
