The Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (GNITC) successfully hosted the inauguration of the BSNL Research, Innovation & Incubation Centre, established in association with AIDEAS, DWAJ TECH LLP, CyberWalNet and Stratowave Solutions, Which is the first BSNL Research & Innovation Incubation centre established in Telangana. The inauguration was immediately followed by a 3-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Exploring NextGen Network towards Industry Automation with Cryptography Techniques” (Level – I). The multi-day event took place from February 12, 2026, to February 14, 2026, at the Shaheed Bhagath Singh Auditorium, Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus.

The day’s proceedings commenced with the gathering of participants. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 80 faculty members and 40 students from Guru Nanak Institutions and Guru Nanak University in attendance. Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy, Director of Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus, delivered the welcome address and expressed his gratitude to BSNL for establishing the Research, Innovation & Incubation Centre at the campus.
A major highlight of the inaugural ceremony was the keynote addresses delivered by the distinguished guests, which provided valuable insights into the convergence of modern networking and security.

The Guest of Honor, Dr. M. Satya Prasad, DGM of BSNL, Vishakhapatnam, addressed the gathering. He emphasized the rapidly evolving landscape of telecommunications and the critical role of communication in Industry 4.0. Aligning with the 5G India Vision and Mission, he highlighted how the rollout of industry automation will be accelerated by AI, IoT, M2M, and Digital Twin technologies. As these advancements drive next-generation applications, Dr. Prasad also strongly stressed the vital importance of maintaining strict security protocols at both the application and user layers.
This was followed by a prominent address by the Chief Guest, Lt. Col. T.M. Praveen Kumar (Retd), Senior Vice President of Strategic Innovation & Operations at T-Works, Hyderabad. He delivered a compelling keynote on strategic innovation, focusing on the critical intersection of industry automation and security. He emphasized that establishing innovation centers within academic institutions significantly elevates students’ critical thinking, ultimately paving the way for them to build successful startups and incubators.
The ceremony was presided over by two esteemed leaders: Sardar Gagandeep Singh Kohli, Chancellor of Guru Nanak University and Vice Chairman of Guru Nanak Institutions, and Dr. H. S. Saini, Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak University and Managing Director of Guru Nanak Institutions. Addressing the gathering, Dr. H. S. Saini highlighted the rapid advancements in modern communications and underscored the critical need for integrating robust Cybersecurity measures within Internet of Things (IoT) frameworks to ensure safe technological ecosystems. Following this, Sardar Gagandeep Singh Kohli shared his vision for the institution’s collaborative future. He elaborated on the strategic importance of the newly signed MoU and how engaging with such partnerships empowers the academic community to master emerging technologies.
The inauguration successfully concluded with the formal felicitation of the guests, followed by a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. S. V. Ranganayakulu, Dean R&D at Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus. The Rector, Registrar, and Directors of Guru Nanak University were also present to grace the occasion.
Over the next three days, the Faculty Development Program will offer a rigorous schedule of technical sessions and hands-on training. Day 1 continues with expert sessions on Next Generation Networks (Wired & Wireless) and AI Foundations, followed by an exploration of IoT applications for critical infrastructure. The agenda for Day 2 focuses on advanced topics including Private 5G (CNPN) Networks, AI Ethics, and Digital Cryptography Techniques. The program will conclude on Day 3 with comprehensive sessions on Cyber Awareness, Photogrammetry Digital Twins, and Drone applications for industry.
