The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (GNITC), under the esteemed Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) 7.0, hosted an inspiring session titled “My Story: Motivational Session by Successful Innovators” with G. Suryaprakash, CEO of Archimedes Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. The event was a powerful celebration of innovation, learning, and excellence, offering invaluable insights drawn from the journey of a visionary entrepreneur.
Sardar Gangandeep Singh Kohli, Vice Chancellor of GNI and Chancellor of Guru Nanak University, encouraged students to pursue startups and be part of the “Make in India” program by transforming ideas into products for societal benefit.
Dr. H. S. Saini, Managing Director of GNI and Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak University, urged students to master emerging technologies, emphasizing that these skills are key to driving product innovation and launching successful startups.
The keynote session by Mr. Gajjala Surya Prakash, CEO of Archimedes Green Energys (P) Ltd., had a significant impact on the audience, blending motivational storytelling with technical expertise. He shared his inspiring journey from overcoming employment challenges to pioneering in renewable energy. His story highlighted the obstacles he faced, the determination required to overcome them, and the path that led him to become a successful entrepreneur.
A key part of his presentation focused on the innovation behind India’s first Rooftop Wind Turbine. Mr. Surya Prakash emphasized that his company, founded in 2016, was inspired by the “Make in India” initiative, reflecting his passion for sustainable energy solutions. He credited the origins of the technology to two decades of innovative work by Dutch national Marinus Mieremet. Under his leadership, this Dutch-engineered technology was refined, demonstrating an efficient way of harnessing wind power.
Dr. K.S. Chandragupta Mauryan, Assistant Dean (R&D), delivered the welcome address, highlighting the event’s purpose and the importance of fostering a spirit of innovation.The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. D. Naveen Kumar, Associate Professor, EEE, who acknowledged the efforts of all contributors and participants.The event was a memorable occasion that successfully inspired the audience, provided valuable knowledge, and celebrated the spirit of innovation and excellence.
