1) How did you get your idea for this business?
In late 2015, I realized that there is a need for change to academic methods which will assist students to prepare for boards and competitive examinations in a better, organized, affordable and effective way. It was October 2016 when EduFlick began with a Facebook page. After a couple of months in March 2017, EduFlick’s website was launched and meticulously extended its horizons in thoroughly constructive tangents.
2) Why is “now” a good time for this idea to exist?
It’s Now or never. India is a developing nation and we are the ones who are responsible to change developing into developed.
3) What was the reaction from your family when you first decided to become an entrepreneur?
My family was very supportive of me when I decided to become an entrepreneur.
I started EduFlick when I was 19 years old. My brother Anurag Anand always help me through all thicks and thins. Everyone in the family was like at 19 how you manage will build a company? Some even suggested to concentrate and focus only on my studies. But my father insisted me to follow my dreams and this one inspiration and support was enough to drive me towards my goal.
4) What was your biggest mistake in business and what did you learn from it?
During the initial stage, I was trying too many things. Nearly all the projects were incomplete during the initial stage. Then, after rectifying my mistakes I started doing one project at a time. And that was the phase when my startup started to get a good response.
5) What is your biggest obstacle in the next 12 months and how will you overcome it?
Launching our EduFlick powered Institutes and developing a strong online/offline presence(or connections) in parts of Orissa, Bihar & Jharkhand.
6) What habits contribute to your success?
Every day I try new things. I’m like one who always keeps on trying new ideas strictly keeping myself away from shear hinderances or unnecessary disturbances.
7) What is your favorite inspirational quote?
Think of failure as a new opportunity to try harder
8) What is your favorite book?
The Four Steps to the Epiphany. The book as an excellent framework to help entrepreneurs achieve “product/market fit.” It lays out a series of practical exercises to make sure you’re not making any faulty assumptions (that could later turn costly) and is packed with concrete examples of how to organize your sales and marketing strategies to ensure success.
