Byju’s Is Reportedly In Talks To Acquire WhiteHat Jr. By Making $300 Million In Cash Offer

Think and Learn Pvt. Ltd is the parent company of Byjus that majorly deals in providing the students with an educational platform through technology-based mediums. As per the reports, The Bengaluru based company is currently making an offer to the Mumbai-based company, WhiteHat Jr.

WhiteHat Jr. was founded by Karan Bajaj in 2018, the same person also served as a CEO for Discovery Networks India before starting his own company. His company was backed by investment partners such as Nexus Ventures Partners, Owl Ventures, and Omidyar Networks India.

Interestingly, Unacademy, which is also an E-learning platform for the students also made an offer to acquire WhiteHat Jr. but Byju came forward and put a better offer in front of them. The Economic Times claims, that Byju has offered WhiteHat Jr. $300 million in cash on the same day.

However, the news is not confirmed yet by either of the officials of both the companies, but it is backed by some pretty reliable sources. The company by Karan Bajaj deals in providing the people with live and interactive online sessions by developing a proprietary and coding curriculum that focuses on product creation and educational lessons.

Maintaining the anonymity, the source who is aware of the developments taking place at the company confirmed to Economic Times that WhiteHat Jr. is already receiving a lot of offers from various companies and Byju is a later entrant to the table but possibly with the most exciting offer.
